Collectible Store is proud to present, Wilson Betemit, is a Dominican professional baseball infielder in the Tampa Bay Rays organization. He is 6'2" and weighs 220 pounds. He has previously played for the Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, Chicago White Sox, Kansas City Royals, Detroit Tigers and Baltimore Orioles. He began his professional career in 1997 with the Gulf Coast Braves. In 1999, he was the Player of the Year for the Danville Braves of the Rookie League, and Appalachian League All-Star shortstop after batting .320 in 67 games, though he made 33 errors in 67 games. Betemit was named the Braves' top minor-league prospect by Baseball America for the second straight year after batting .305 with Myrtle Beach (Class A) and Greenville (AA) in 2001. He spent most of 2003 and 2004 with Richmond, but appeared in 22 games with the Braves in 2004, recording his first Major League hit on May 8 against the Houston Astros. The piece is a 9x12 vertical cherry finish wooden plaque with 1 inch in depth with acrylic. Clear acrylic was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and card. A 2.5x3.5 card is hand signed in black ink by Wilson Betemit and is centered in a white mat. A golden name plate is centered on the bottom part of the mat with the engraving in black letters “Wilson Betemit Braves Authentic Signature”. The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from Playoff is enclosed in an envelope and attached to the back of the plaque. The plaque includes a vertical plaque holder. The piece weighs 2 pounds.
