Collectible Store is proud to present, Wilbert "Wil" Nieves, is a Puerto Rican professional baseball catcher for the Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball. Nieves made his major league debut on July 21, 2002, for the San Diego Padres, and played 28 games with them during their 2002 season. He was traded to the New York Yankees for pitcher Bret Prinz. Nieves won a spot on the Yankees 2007 roster by beating out Todd Pratt and Raul Chavez during spring training. He served as the back-up catcher to Jorge Posada. On December 4, 2013, Nieves signed with the Philadelphia Phillies . The piece is a 9x12 vertical cherry finish wooden plaque with 1 inch in depth with acrylic. Clear acrylic was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and card. A 2.5x3.5 card is hand signed in blue ink by Wil Nieves and is centered in a black mat. A golden name plate is centered on the bottom part of the mat with the engraving in black letters Wil Nieves Yankees Authentic Signature. The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from Upper Deck and a copy of the back of the card is enclosed in an envelope and attached to the back of the plaque.
