The Collectible Store is proud to present, Vito Antuofermo  is an Italian-American actor and retired professional boxer. He is a former World Middleweight Champion. Antuofermo won the 1970 147 lb New York Golden Gloves Championship, defeating Thomas Chestnut in the finals. In 1971, Antuofermo was defeated by future Light Heavyweight Champion Eddie Gregory in the finals of the 147 lb Open division. Antuofermo trained at the Police Athletic Leagues Sweeney Center in Brooklyn, New York. And Emile Alphonse Griffith was a professional boxer from the U.S. Virgin Islands who became a world champion in the welterweight and middleweight classes. His best known contest was a 1962 title match with Benny Paret. At the weigh in, Paret infuriated Griffith by touching his buttocks and calling him a homosexual. Griffith won the bout by knockout; Paret never recovered consciousness and died in the hospital 10 days later. The piece is a  (11x14) placed in a (13x16) vertical cherry wooden  frame with 1 inch in depth with glass. This piece is protected with Tru Vue Conservation Grade 99% UV protection was used on this fine piece to protect  autograph and photo. A (7½ x9½ ) color photo of Vito Antuofermo & Emile Griffith, hand signed in black ink is centered on the frame in a white mat with red  borders around the photo. A  gold name plate is positioned below the picture with the engraving in black letters “Vito Antuofermo & Emile Griffith' Boxing Legends”. The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from JG Autographs #1036959 is enclosed in an envelope placed on the back of the frame. It includes a vertical frame holder attached to the back. The frame weights 3 pounds.
