The Williams sisters are two professional American tennis players: Venus Williams (b. 1980), a seven-time Grand Slam title winner (singles), and Serena Williams (b. 1981), seventeen-time Grand Slam title winner (singles), both of whom were coached from an early age by their parents Richard Williams and Oracene Price. There is a noted professional rivalry between them – between the 2001 US Open and the 2009 Wimbledon tournaments, they have met in eight Grand Slam singles finals. They remain very close, often watching each other's matches in support, even after one of them has been knocked out of a tournament. The piece is a matted 11 x 14, placed on a 13 x 16 vertical cherry finish styrene frame. Clear glass was used on this fine piece to protect trading cards. Five 2½ x 3½ trading cards of The Williams sisters, placed on a black mat with golden border around the cards, with the inscription in golden ink " The Williams " placed on the top and " Sisters USA" is placed on the bottom on the black mat. The copies of the trading cards are enclosed in an envelope and attached to the back of the frame. It includes a vertical frame holder. The piece weighs 2 pounds.
