He pitched from 1965 to 1988 for six different teams in his career, but it is his time with the Philadelphia Phillies where he received his greatest acclaim as a professional and won four Cy Young Awards. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1994. The piece is a 9x12 horizontal black marble finish wooden plaque with 1 inch in depth with acrylic. Clear acrylic was used on this fine piece to protect the card and bat segment. A 2.5x3.5 color sports card of Steve Carlton with a game used bat segment is centered in a teal mat.
