Collectible Store is proud to present Albert Walter "Sparky" Lyle is an American former left-handed relief pitcher who spent sixteen seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1967 through 1982. He was a relief pitcher for the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Texas Rangers, Philadelphia Phillies, and Chicago White Sox. Lyle was traded to the New York Yankees for Danny Cater and a player to be named later (Mario Guerrero). The transaction eventually proved to be one-sided as Lyle became the Yankees' bullpen ace, establishing himself as one of the best relief pitchers of the 1970s. He played a major role in the Yankees capturing three straight pennants from 1976 to 1978 and winning the World Series in the last two of those years. The piece is a 9x12 vertical black marble finish wooden plaque with 1 inch in depth with acrylic. Clear acrylic was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and card. A 2.5x3.5 sports card is hand signed in blue ink by Sparky Lyle and is centered in a red mat. A golden name plate is centered on the bottom part of the mat with the engraving in black letters “ Sparky Lyle Yankees Authentic Signature”. The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from Upper Deck. A copy of the back of card is enclosed in an envelope and attached to the back of the plaque. The plaque includes a vertical plaque holder. The piece weighs 2 pounds.
