Collectible Store is proud to present, General Robert Everton Cushman, Jr. (December 24, 1914 January 2, 1985) served as the 25th Commandant of the Marine Corps from January 1, 1972 to June 30, 1975. He was honored for heroism in battle during World War II at the battles of Guam (Navy Cross), Bougainville (Bronze Star) and Iwo Jima (Legion of Merit). He also commanded all Marine forces in Vietnam from June - December 1967. Cushman served as Deputy Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) from 1969-1971. The piece is 8x10 placed in a 10x12 vertical bronze wooden frame with 1 inch in depth with glass. Tru Vue Conservation Grade 99% UV protection glass was used to protect the piece. A 4x5 black and white photo of Robert Everton Cushman, Jr. hand signed in black ink is centered in a black mat with gold colored borders. A gold colored name plate is centered below the photo with the engraving in black letters "Robert E. Cushman, Jr. 25th Commandant of the Marine Corps 1972-1975 Navy Distinguished Service Medal (3)".
