The Collectible Store is proud to present, Richard Todd OBE (11 June 1919 – 3 December 2009) was an Irish-born British stage and film actor and soldier. After the war, Todd returned to repertory theatre in the UK. He was appearing in a play when he was spotted by Robert Lennard, a casting director for Associated British Picture Corporation. That company offered him a screen test, and subsequently signed him for a long-term contract in 1948. He was cast in For Them That Trespass . The piece is a 11x14 placed in a 13x16 vertical black wooden frame with 1 inch in depth with glass. Clear glass was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and photo. A 8x10 black and white photo of Richard Todd is hand signed in black ink and is centered in a black mat with white borders on the frame. A golden name plate is centered on the bottom part of the mat with the engraving in black letters “Richard Todd Irish-Born British Stage & Film Actor & Soldier Alfred Hitchcok's Stage Film (1950)”. The Certificate of Authentication (COA) is from J.G Autographs is enclosed in an envelope and attached to a white mat on the back of the frame. The frame includes a vertical frame holder attached to the back. The piece weighs 3 pounds.
