The Collectible Store is proud to present, Rey Ordonez's Trading card with a piece of a game worn Jersey . Reynaldo Ordóñez Pereira is a former professional baseball shortstop. He played nine seasons in Major League Baseball for the New York Mets, Tampa Bay Devil Rays, and Chicago Cubs. In 1993, in Buffalo, New York, Ordóñez defected from Cuba to the United States. Ordóñez was a promising young player for the Havana Industriales club in Cuba at the time. In March, 2013, Ordóñez finally traveled back to Cuba 20 years after defecting from there and was given a hero's welcome. This became possible under the new Cuban travel policy which took effect from January, 2013. The law eliminated restrictions on visiting the island. The piece is a matted 9 x 12 vertical black marble finish wooden plaque. A clear acrylic was used on this fine piece to protect the trading card. A 2½ x 3½ trading cards, one from Rey Ordonez with a piece of a game used jersey is placed on an orange mat on the plaque. The mat has the inscription in silver ink " Rey Ordonez New York Mets Authentic Game Worn Jersey ”. The copy of the back of the trading card, certified by Pacific Trading is enclosed in an envelope and attached to the back of the plaque. It includes a vertical plaque holder attached on the back. The frame weighs 2 pounds.
