The Collectible Store is proud to present is proud to present Reynaldo Ordonez a former professional baseball shortstop. He played nine seasons in Major League Baseball for the New York Mets, Tampa Bay Devil Rays, and Chicago Cubs. In 1993, in Buffalo, New York, Ordonez defected from Cuba to the United States. Ordonez was a promising young player for the Havana Industrials club in Cuba at the time. In March, 2013, Ordonez finally traveled back to Cuba 20 years after defecting from there and was given a hero's welcome. This became possible under the new Cuban travel policy which took effect from January, 2013. The law eliminated restrictions on visiting the island. The Piece is 9 x 12 vertical cherry finish wooden plaque. A clear acrylic was used to protect the card. A 2½ x 3½ Baseball card with an authentic Game Used Jersey of Rey Ordonez, is placed on a white mat with borders in golden ink around it. The piece also has the inscription "New York Mets / Rey Ordonez Used Jersey" written in golden ink. The card is authenticated by Upper Deck, a copy of the back of the card is enclosed in an envelope and attached on the back of the plaque. It includes a vertical plaque holder. The piece weighs 2 pounds.
