Parker is known for writing and performing the theme song to the motion picture Ghostbusters.Parker gained his reputation during the late 1960s as a member of the house band at the legendary 20 Grand nightclub. This Detroit hot-spot often featured Tamla/Motown acts, one of which, the (Detroit) Spinners, was so impressed with the young guitarist's skills that they added him to their touring group. The piece is a 8x10 placed in a 10x12 vertical solid black wooden frame with 1 inch in depth with glass. Tru Vue Conservation Grade 99% UV Protection glass was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and photos. Two (2) 2x2 photos, one in color and one in black and white is centered across the top of the mat. A cut card signature of Ray Parker, Jr. is hand signed in blue ink and is placed in a navy blue mat with black borders. A golden name plate is centered on the bottom part of the mat with the engraving in black letters “Ray Parker, Jr. American Guitarist, songwriter, Producer & Recording Artist”. The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from Todd Mueller Autographs, Inc., is enclosed in an envelope and attached to the back of the frame.
