The team, established by Ned Irish in 1946, was one of the founding members of the Basketball Association of America (BAA), which became the NBA after merging with rival National Basketball League (NBL) in 1949. The team plays at Madison Square Garden in the borough of Manhattan and is one of only two teams of the original National Basketball Association still located in its original city (the other being the Boston Celtics). The piece is 11x14 placed in a 14x17 vertical black wooden frame with 1 inch in depth with glass. A New York Knicks Certified Authentic Game-Used Ball segment( 1"x1"+) is placed on the right side of the frame in a blue and orange mat. An 8x10 color action photo of The Knicks team member Carmelo Anthony, is centered on the mat. A gold colored name plate is positioned below the picture with the engraving in black letters "New York Knicks Certified Authentic Game-Used Ball". The piece comes with a copy of the original COA from Steiner Sports and a witness COA from P.A.A.S 2063 with a hologram, enclosed in an envelope and attached to the back of the frame. The piece includes a vertical frame holder attached to the back.
