He was a Major League Baseball (MLB) centerfielder and first baseman for the New York Yankees for 18 seasons, from 1951 through 1968. Mantle is regarded by many to be the greatest switch hitter of all time, and one of the greatest players in baseball history. He was inducted to the Hall of Fame in 1974. The piece is a 7x9 horizontal black marble finish wooden plaque with 1 inch in depth with acrylic. Clear acrylic was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and photo. A 4x6 color lithograph is hand signed in blue ink by Mickey Mantle with a team logo is centered in a black marble plaque. A black name plate is centered on the bottom part of the plaque with the engraving in gold letters “Mickey Mantle Hall of Fame-1974”.
