He was a Major League Baseball (MLB) centerfielder and first baseman for the New York Yankees for 18 seasons, from 1951 through 1968. Mantle is regarded by many to be the greatest switch hitter of all time, and one of the greatest players in baseball history. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1974. The piece is a 12x15 horizontal cherry finish wooden plaque with 1 inch in depth with acrylic. Clear acrylic was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and photo. A 8x10 color action photo is hand signed in blue ink by Mickey Mantle and is centered on a cherry woodedn plaque. A gold trim clock is positioned on the top right corner of plaque. A black name plate is positioned under the clock with gold borders and the engraving in gold letters “Mickey Mantle 536 Career Homeruns 3-Time American League MVP". The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from Professional Forensics Examiner Christopher L. Morales and hologram is enclosed in an envelope and attached to the back of the plaque.
