He was a Major League Baseball (MLB) centerfielder and first baseman for the New York Yankees for 18 seasons, from 1951 through 1968. Mantle is regarded by many to be the greatest switch hitter of all time and one of the greatest players in baseball history. The piece is a 9x12 horizontal cherry wooden plaque. Clear acrylic glass was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and lithograph. A 5x7 horizontal color lithograph of Mickey Mantle is hand signed in blue ink and is centered on a black mat with clear acrylic glass to protect the lithograph and autograph. A name card is positioned below the lithograph with the inscription in black letters “Mickey Mantle - Hall of Fame - 1974”.
