Mickey Mantle was an American baseball player nicknamed “The Commerce Comet” or “The Mick”. He was a Major League Baseball (MLB) centerfielder and first baseman for the New York Yankees for 18 seasons, from 1951 through 1968. Mantle is regarded by many to be the greatest switch hitter of all time, and one of the greatest players in baseball history. The piece is a 8x10 placed in a 9x11 vertical black wooden frame with 1 inch in depth with glass .Clear glass was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and photo. A 3x5 color lithograph of Mickey Mantle's face, hand signed in blue ink, is centered in a black mat with gold borders around the photo. A name card is positioned below the picture with the inscription in black ink “Mickey Mantle Hall of Fame-1974”. The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from Professional Forensics Examiner Christopher L. Morales and hologram are enclosed in an envelope and attached to the back of the frame.
