He was a Major League Baseball (MLB) centerfielder and first baseman for the New York Yankees for 18 seasons, from 1951 through 1968. Mantle is regarded by many to be the greatest switch hitter of all time, and one of the greatest players in baseball history. The piece is an (9X12) vertical black marble finish wooden plaque with 1 inch in depth with acrylic. Clear acrylic was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and photo. A (5x7) black and white action photo of Mickey Mantle batting, hand signed in blue ink is centered with a black mat on the plaque and white borders around the photo. A name card is positioned below the picture with the inscription in black ink “Mickey Mantle Hall of Fame-1974”. The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from Professional Forensics Examiner Christopher L. Morales and hologram are enclosed in an envelope and attached to the back of the plaque.
