He was a Major League Baseball (MLB) centerfielder and first baseman for the New York Yankees for 18 seasons, from 1951 through 1968. Mantle is regarded by many to be the greatest switch hitter of all time, and one of the greatest players in baseball history. Ted Williams known as “Teddy Ballgame", "The Thumper" and "The Greatest Hitter Who Ever Lived", is regarded as one of the greatest hitters in baseball history. He was a two-time American League (AL) Most Valuable Player (MVP), six-time batting champion, 17-time All-Star, and a two-time Triple Crown winner. He finished his career with a .344 batting average, 521 home runs, and a .482 on base percentage, the highest of all time. His batting average is the highest of any MLB player with 500 or more home runs. Williams was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1966 in his first year of eligibility. The piece is a 11 x 14, placed on a 13x16 vertical solid black styrene frame with 1 inch in depth with glass. Clear glass was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and photo. The frame includes a black mat with gold borders. A 7x 8 ½ , black and white photo of Mickey Mantle and Ted Williams ,hand signed in blue ink on the baseball field is centered on the upper top part of the mat. An ivory colored name card is positioned below the picture with the inscription "Baseball Immortals Mickey Mantle & Ted Williams Hall of Fame-1974 & 1966". On the lower right corner of the mat there is a 5x 2 ½ black and white photo of Mickey Mantle on the field batting. On the lower left corner of the mat there is a 5x2½ black and white photo of Ted Williams on the field batting. The certificate of Authentication (COA) from Professional Forensics Examiner Christopher L. Morales hologram # CM 04964 is enclosed in an envelope and attached to a white mat on the back of the frame. It includes a vertical frame holder; the frame weights 2 lbs.
