Collectible Store is proud to present, Maureen Therese McGovern, is an American singer and Broadway actress, well known for her premier renditions of the Oscar-winning songs "The Morning After" from the 1972 film The Poseidon Adventure. The Morning After" scored well on the popular music charts, reaching #1 during 1973. It sold over one million copies, and was awarded a gold disc by the R.I.A.A. in August 1973. Following the success of "The Morning After," she received a Grammy Award nomination in 1974 for Best New Artist. The piece is a 9x12 vertical cherry finish wooden plaque with 1 inch in depth with acrylic. Clear acrylic was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and card. A 2.5x3.5 American Bandstand card is hand signed in black ink by Maureen McGovern and is centered in a burgandy mat. A golden name plate is centered on the bottom part of the mat with the engraving in black letters “Maureen McGovern American Singer & Broadway Actress Authentic Signature”. The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from Professional Forensics Examiner Christopher L. Morales and hologram are enclosed in an envelope and attached to the back of the plaque.
