Collectible Store is proud to present, Lewis William Walt (February 16, 1913 March 26, 1989), also known as Lew Walt, was a retired United States Marine Corps four-star general who had served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. During World War II he was awarded two Navy Crosses for extraordinary heroism, one for leading the attack on "Aogiri Ridge" during the Battle of Cape Gloucester (New Britain); the ridge was renamed "Walt's Ridge" in his honor. The piece is 11x14 placed on a 13x16 vertical black wooden frame with 1 inch in depth with glass. Tru Vue Conservation Grade 99% UV protection glass was used on this piece to protect the autograph and photo. An 8x10 black and white photo of Lewis W. Walt, hand signed in black ink is centered in a grey mat with black borders around the photo. A gold colored name plate is centered below the photo with the inscription in black letters "Lewis W. Walt' United States Marine Corp Officer' Served in World War II, The Korean & Vietnam War" . The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from JG Autographs hologram #SKU 1130982-1 is enclosed in an envelope and attached to the back of the frame.
