His style came to be known to his large number of radio, television, and live-performance fans (and critics) as "champagne music". In 1996, Welk was ranked #43 on TV Guide's 50 Greatest TV Stars of All Time. The piece is 20x24 placed in a 23x27 horizontal black wooden frame with 1 inch in depth with glass.Tru Vue Conservation Grade 99% UV protection glass was used on this piece to protect the autographed letter and photos. An 8x11 typed and signed letter by Lawrence Welk is centered on the left side of the frame in a royal blue mat with silver borders. The piece also includes the envelope of the letter, and 2 (8x10) photos of Lawrence Welk that are placed on the right side of the frame. A silver colored name plate is placed below the signed letter with the engraving in black letters "Lawrence Welk 'American Musician, Accordionist, Bandleader, & Television Impresario' "The Lawrence Welk Show". The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from PAAS hologram # MF 14765 is enclosed in an envelope and attached to the back of the frame. The piece includes a horizontal frame holder attached to the back.
