The club is a member of the Eastern Conference of Major League Soccer. The club is one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, having competed in the league since its inception. For the majority of its first 15 years of existence the team was known as the Kansas City Wizards. The team was renamed in November 2010, coinciding with its move to a new stadium, Sporting Park. The club won both the MLS Cup and the MLS Supporters' Shield in 2000, and the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup in 2004 and 2012. In 2013, the club again won the MLS Cup, its first after rebranding. The piece is a blue Adidas 2007 Kansas City Wizards MLS Mini Soccer ball hand signed in black ink by 15+ players. The signatures include Jimmy Conrad, Davy Arnaud, Aaron Hohlbein, Jack Jewsbury, Scott Sealy, Sasha Victorine and Tyson Wahl. The soccer ball is 19 inches in circumference; with blue and white lines as designs around the ball. The soccer ball also includes the Kansas City Wizards logo inscribed into the ball. The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from P.A.A.S along with hologram # MF 15563 is enclosed in an envelope and included with the ball.
