Collectible Store is proud to present, Jose Castillo,is a Venezuelan professional baseball infielder for the Rojos del Aguila de Veracruz of the Mexican League. He has also played for the Pittsburgh Pirates along with other teams. Castillo was the Pirates' starting second baseman in almost every game in 2006. After a slow April, Castillo was among the best hitters in all of the majors in May, culminating in his "Player of the Week" award for the last week in May, during which he led the NL in RBI, total bases, slugging percentage, and home runs. He finished the 2006 season with 14 home runs, 65 RBI, 131 hits, and 25 doubles to go along with his .253 batting average. The piece is a 9x12 horizontal black marble finish wooden plaque with 1 inch in depth with acrylic. Clear acrylic was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and card. A 2.5x3.5 sports card action photo is hand signed in blue ink by Jose Castillo and is centered in a green mat. A golden name plate is centered next to the card with the engraving in black letters “Jose Castillo Pirates Authentic Signature”. The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from Major League Baseball Properties. A copy of the back of the card is enclosed in an envelope and attached to the back of the plaque.
