He is perhaps best known for his 56-game hitting streak (May 15 July 16, 1941), a record that still stands. DiMaggio was a three-time MVP winner and an All-Star in each of his 13 seasons. Inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1955. Mickey Mantle, was an American baseball player nicknamed "The Commerce Comet" or "The Mick". He was a Major League Baseball (MLB) centerfielder and first baseman for the New York Yankees for 18 seasons, from 1951 through 1968. Mantle is regarded by many to be the greatest switch hitter of all time, and one of the greatest players in baseball history. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1974. The piece is a 12x15 horizontal black marble finish wooden plaque with 1 inch in depth with acrylic. Clear acrylic was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and photo. A 8x10 black and white photo is hand signed by Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle in blue ink and a 4x6 black and white photo it is centered on a black marble plaque. The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from Professional Forensics Examiner Christopher L. Morales and hologram is enclosed in an envelope and attached to the back of the plaque.
