Joseph Paul "Joe" DiMaggio, nicknamed "Joltin' Joe" and "The Yankee Clipper", was an American Major League Baseball center fielder who played his entire 13-year career for the New York Yankees. He is perhaps best known for his 56-game hitting streak (May 15 – July 16, 1941), a record that still stands. DiMaggio was a three-time MVP winner and an All-Star in each of his 13 seasons. During his tenure with the Yankees, the club won ten American League pennants and nine World Series championships. The piece is a 9x12 vertical black marble finish wooden plaque with 1 inch in depth with acrylic. Clear acrylic was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and photo. A 4X6 black and white photo of Joe DiMaggio sitting down holding four bats, hand signed in blue ink is centered in a blue mat with a silver outline around the photo. On the lower part of the blue mat the words” Joe DiMaggio Hall of Fame 1955” are inscribed in silver ink. The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from Professional Forensics Examiner Christopher L. Morales and hologram are enclosed in an envelope and attached to the back of the plaque. The plaque includes a vertical plaque holder. The piece weighs 2 pounds. Certificate # CM 12010.
