Gerald Francis "Jerry" Coleman (September 14, 1924 – January 5, 2014) was a Major League Baseball (MLB) second baseman for the New York Yankees and manager of the San Diego Padres for one year. Coleman was named the rookie of the year in 1949 by Associated Press, and was an All-Star in 1950 and later that year was named the World Series most valuable player. In 2011, Coleman was inducted into the International Aerospace Hall of Fame in a ceremony at the San Diego Air & Space Museum for his service as a combat pilot in WW2 and the Korean Conflict. The piece is a 9x12 vertical black marble finish wooden plaque with 1 inch in depth with acrylic. Clear acrylic was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and card. A 2.5x3.5 color sports card is hand signed in blue ink by Jerry Coleman and is centered in a blue mat. A golden name plate is centered on the bottom part of the mat with the engraving in black Letters "Jerry Coleman New York Yankees Authentic Signature". The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from Upper Deck. A copy of the back of card is enclosed in an envelope and attached to the back of the plaque. The plaque includes a vertical plaque holder.
