The Collectible Store is proud to present, Jerry D. Bailey is a retired American Hall of Fame jockey. He began his racing career in November 1974. His first mount was on a horse named Pegged Rate, who ran off the board. He notched his first career win the next day on his second career mount, Fetch, at New Mexico's Sunland Park, and has gone on to win 5,892 races. Among his numerous wins, he can boast the New York Handicap Triple in 1984, six victories in American Classic Races races, and a record 15 wins in Breeders' Cup races, including five Breeders' Cup Classics. Three of his Breeders' Cup Classic wins were consecutive (1993–1995). Bailey is perhaps most famous among racing fans as the regular rider of 1990s great Cigar. The piece is 14x18 placed in a 16x20 vertical black wooden frame with 1 inch in depth with glass. Tru Vue Conservation Grade 99% UV protection glass was used on this piece to protect the autograph and photo. An oval shaped section of "Against The Odds" book, hand signed in blue ink by Jerry Bailey is centered in a royal blue mat with grey borders around the signature and 2 grey horses cut into the mat, on opposite sides of the autograph. An 8x9 color photograph of Jerry Bailey is centered on the top section of the mat. A gold colored name plate is positioned below the autograph with the engraving in gold letters "Jerry Bailey Hall of Fame Jockey Has Won Over 5,000 Races ". The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from P.A.A.S with hologram # MF 14127 is enclosed in an envelope and attached to the back of the frame.
