Collectible Store is proud to present, Jason Stokes, is a former first baseman who played in the Oakland Athletics and Florida Marlins organizations. Stokes was drafted in the second round of the 2000 Major League Baseball Draft by the Florida Marlins. His best season in the minor leagues was in 2002 with the Kane County Cougars, where he hit .341 with 27 home runs and 75 runs batted in, earning Stokes the Sporting News minor league player of the year award. Stokes participated in the 2002 All-Star Futures Game during All-Star Weekend, playing for the United States team. He was ranked as the Marlins number four prospect and "Best Power Prospect" entering the 2005 season according to Baseball America. The piece is a 9x12 vertical cherry finish wooden plaque with 1 inch in depth with acrylic. Clear acrylic was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and card. A 2.5x3.5 card is hand signed in blue ink by Jason Stokes and is centered in a hunter green mat. A golden name plate is centered on the bottom part of the mat with the engraving in black letters “Jason Stokes Cougars Authentic Signature”. The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from Upper Deck is enclosed in an envelope and attached to the back of the plaque. The plaque includes a vertical plaque holder. The piece weighs 2 pounds.
