Collectible Store is proud to present, Ismael (Alvarez) Valdéz, is a Mexican professional baseball pitcher. During his major league career, he was nicknamed "The Rocket" in his native Mexico. Valdéz was 17 years old when he was signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers as an amateur free agent on June 14, 1991. He made his professional debut with the Gulf Coast Dodgers that year when he was 2-2 with a 2.32 ERA in 10 starts. Valdéz made his Major League debut on June 15, 1994 at the age of 20. He was the youngest player in the Majors at the time, pitching 2 shutout innings of relief against the Cincinnati Reds. The piece is a 7x9 vertical cherry finish wooden plaque with 1 inch in depth with acrylic. Clear acrylic was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and card. A 2.5x3.5 sports card is hand signed in blue ink by Ismael Valdes and is centered in a blue mat. A golden name plate is centered on the bottom part of the mat with the engraving in black letters “Ismael Valdes Dodgers Authentic Signature”. The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from Donruss. A copy of the back of the card is enclosed in an envelope and attached to the back of the plaque. The plaque includes a vertical plaque holder. The piece weighs 1 pounds.
