Collectible Store is proud to present,Florence Henderson, Sylvia Syms, Don Chastain & Dean Dittmann.  South Pacific is a musical composed by Richard Rodgers, with lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II and book by Hammerstein and Joshua Logan. The work premiered in 1949 on Broadway and was an immediate hit, running for 1,925 performances. The story is based on James A. Michener's Pulitzer Prize-winning 1947 book Tales of the South Pacific, combining elements of several of the stories. Rodgers and Hammerstein believed that they could write a musical based on Michener's work that would be financially successful and, at the same time, would send a strong progressive message on racism. The piece is a 20x24 in a 23x27 horizontal solid black wooden frame with 1 inch in depth with glass. Tru Vue  Conservation Grade 99% UV Protection glass was used on this fine piece to protect the autographs and photo. A 8x10 black and white photo of Florence Henderson and is hand signed in black ink and a black and white page with the cast members of South Pacific which is hand signed by Sylvia Syms, Don Chastain and Dean Dittman which is displayed in a black mat with white borders on the frame. The "South Pacific" Title is in white letters across the top of the mat.  A golden name plate is centered on the bottom part of the mat with the engraving in black letters “South Pacific - Florence Henderson, Sylvia Syms, Don Chastain & Dean Dittmann”. The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from PAAS #MF13970 and PAAS #MF13969 are enclosed in an envelope and attached to a white mat on the back of the frame. The frame includes a vertical frame holder attached to the back. The piece weighs 7 pounds.
