Born in the Bronx, New York, Kranepool attended James Monroe High School, where he began playing baseball and basketball. Mets' scout Bubber Jonnard signed Kranepool in 1962 at the age of seventeen as an amateur free agent. The piece is a 11x14 placed in a 14x17 horizontal solid black wooden frame with 1 inch in depth with glass. Clear glass was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and photo. A 8x9 ½ color photo of Ed Kranepool holding his bat , and a sport card hand signed in blue ink is centered in a blue mat with orange borders.
