The Collectible Store is proud to present, Edwin Donald "Duke" Snider, nicknamed "The Silver Fox" and "The Duke of Flatbush", was a Major League Baseball center fielder and left-handed batter who played for the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers (1947–62), New York Mets (1963), andSan Francisco Giants (1964). Snider was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1980. Following his retirement from baseball, Snider went on to become a popular and respected TV/radio analyst and play-by-play announcer for the San Diego Padres from 1969 to 1971 and for the Montreal Expos from 1973 to 1986, characterized by his mellow, low-key style. The piece is a (14x18) placed in a (16x20) horizontal black wooden frame with 1 inch in depth with glass. This piece is protected with Tru Vue Conservation Grade 99% UV protection was used on this fine piece to protect the photo, and the signed post card. A (7½ x 9½ ) black and white photo is centered on the frame in a royal blue mat with black borders around the photo. The piece also includes a (3½ x5½) Post Card,hand signed by Duke Snider in blue sharpie marker. A gold name plate is positioned below the Post Card with the engraving in black letters “Duke Snider' "The Duke of Flatbush” 2-Time World Series Champion- 1955 & 1959' Hall of Fame -1980". The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from P.A.A.S hologram #MF 14633 is enclosed in an envelope placed on the back of the frame. It includes a horizontal frame holder attached to the back.
