The Collectible Store is proud to present, Don Mattingly. Donald Arthur "Don" Mattingly is an American professional baseball first baseman, coach and manager. Mattingly is currently the manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball. Nicknamed "The Hit Man" and "Donnie Baseball", he spent his entire 14-year playing career for the New York Yankees. The Yankees retired Mattingly's uniform number, 23, after his retirement. He has also received consideration for induction to the National Baseball Hall of Fame, though he has not been elected. Returning to the Yankees as a coach in 2004 for manager Joe Torre, he followed Torre to the Dodgers in 2008, and succeeded him as the Dodgers' manager in 2011.The piece is a 9x12 vertical black marble finish wooden plaque with 1 inch in depth with acrylic. Clear acrylic was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and photo. A 4X6 color action lithograph of Don Mattingly batting, hand signed in blue ink is centered in a red mat with a silver outline around the photo. On the lower part of the red mat the words ”Don Mattingly” are inscribed in silver ink. The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from Professional Forensics Examiner Christopher L. Morales and hologram are enclosed in an envelope and attached to the back of the plaque. The plaque includes a vertical plaque holder. The piece weighs 2 pounds. Certificate # CM 07397.
