Collectible Store is proud to present, David Américo Ortiz Arias, nicknamed "Big Papi", is a Dominican-American professional baseball designated hitter (DH) with the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB). Ortiz played with the Minnesota Twins from 1997-2002. Ortiz graduated from Estudia Espallat High School in the Dominican Republic and in 1992 he was signed by the Seattle Mariners, who listed him as "David Arias". He played for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, a Mariners farm team, until 1996, when he was traded to the Minnesota Twins as the player to be named later in an earlier transaction for Dave Hollins. When he arrived in Minnesota, he informed the team that he preferred to be listed as "David Ortiz".  The piece is a 11x14 placed in a  (14x17) horizontal solid black wooden frame with 1 inch in depth with glass. Clear glass was used on this fine piece to protect the used jersey and photo. A (9x10½ )  principal color photo of David Ortiz and a sport card on the top right  centered in a navyblue mat with red borders around the photo.  A gold name plate is centered on the bottom part of the mat with the engraving in black letters “David Ortiz ' Red Sox Game - Used Jersey Segment" The piece weights 2 pounds.
